Peter Joseph Farley’s 1917-18 Draft Card
This is a photograph of my grandfather Peter Joseph Farley. He was my Dad’s father. He was born March 12,1878 in Missouri. Posted below is a copy of his draft card for World War One (it is dated 1917-1918). It lists his profession as ‘Broiler Maker Helper’ for the Union Pacific Railroad. He later became a chef and owned a restaurant in Los Angeles. The photo was taken during World War 2 in his garden in Huntington Beach. He and my Grandmother raised rabbits and chickens in their garden. He passed on Oct 12, 1949.
